Genesis 15:6

6And ahe believed the Lord, and bhe counted it to him as righteousness.

Romans 4:3-6

3For what does the Scripture say? cAbraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.” 4Now dto the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. 5And to the one who does not work but ebelieves in
Or  but trusts; compare verse 24
him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,
6just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God counts righteousness apart from works:

Romans 4:9-10

9Is this blessing then only for gthe circumcised, or also for the uncircumcised? hFor we say that faith was counted to Abraham as righteousness. 10How then was it counted to him? Was it before or after he had been circumcised? It was not after, but before he was circumcised.

Romans 4:21-22

21fully convinced that iGod was able to do what he had promised. 22That is why his faith was “counted to him as righteousness.”

Romans 9:32-33

32Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were based on works. They have stumbled over the jstumbling stone, 33as it is written,

kBehold, I am laying in Zion la stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense;
mand whoever believes in him will not be nput to shame.”

Galatians 3:9

9So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

James 2:23

23and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, oAbraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a pfriend of God.
